Abstract

Disclosed Kharkiv period in the life of D. I. Yavornytsky. It is alleged that the early formation scientific reference D. I. Yavornytsky to the period of study at Kharkov University (1877 - 1881). Influence of the Kharkiv scientists is illuminated on forming of world view of researcher. It is noted thatВ A. A. Potebnya, professor of Kharkov University, had a beneficial influence on the young D. I. Yavornytsky who participated in a student circle study the history, life and customs of the people, by the Ukrainian philologist. Undoubtedly, the formation of scientific interest and research methods Dmitry Yavornytsky had a significant impact lectures and works of M. Sumtsova. With great honor Yavornytsky treated his university professors. They linked the same scientific interests: folklore, ethnography, history, Zaporizhzhya Sich, creativity Shevchenko. They are consulted, supported and helped each other in life and work. M. F. Sumtsov gave a positive assessment of books D. I. Yavornytsky: "On the trail zaporozhtsev" (St. Petersburg, 1898). "Evening Star" (Ekaterinoslav 1910) Among scientists of Kharkiv University, which D. I. Yavornytsky also supported scientific relationships were, Y. K. Redin, I. Y. Ayzenshtok, V. I. Barvinsky, V. I. Biletska, V. Y. Dashkevich, etc.
