PROPOSITIONAL STRUCTURE ANALYSIS AS A WAY TO STUDY THE COGNITIVE SEMANTICS OF PREDICATES

In the article, the possibility of using the analysis of the propositional structure of lexical units, namely predicates, is discussed. The psycholinguistic and cognitive interpretation of lexical meaning is taken into consideration to explain that the semantic structure of predicates consists of various semantic roles similar to the semantic structure of a sentence. Using the method of propositional analysis of predicate semantics on the material of two or more languages will contribute to the comparative study of cognitive peculiarities of speakers of different languages.
