Abstract

The article briefly discusses the technology of airborne laser scanning and the additional use of the scan data. The regulatory documents for the preparation of topographic maps, used by organizations, conducting engineering and surveying by airborne laser scanning, are presented. We mentioned the developments in the form of domestic technical regulations in the use of laser scanning by implementing organizations. The pricing of airborne laser scanning for geodetic works is briefly described. The issue of the absence of regulatory documents to carry out laser scanning is raised. Also we raised the issue of the need to develop regulatory documentation for airborne laser scanning of geodesic surveying as a part of engineering-geotechnical works and recommendations for decryption geological processes based on the solid digital elevation model.
