Abstract

The selection of the practice teacher is not a random choice, and it is important for this research to determine the thoughts of the prospective teachers of the candidate teachers, who can influence the candidate in the negative direction during the period when the candidate is taking the training. The study was designed as a quantitative study and the general screening model was used. This model is appropriately designed with the relational scan model. The universe of this research is the fourth grade, classroom teacher students who are studying at Pamukkale University Faculty of Education in 2016 - 2017 academic year. All teacher candidates at the stage of the study were reached. The "Practical Teacher Proficiency Scale" developed by Kiraz (2001) was used in the research. The variables determined in the scope of the study are gender, the average grade of the application teacher, and the academic grade average of the classroom teacher candidates. It has been observed that the variables have significant differences in expectation from the application teacher and the level of having these expectations. According to the analysis of correlation, there is a relation between the importance and expectation of classroom teacher candidates for this lesson in medium and high level and positive in three sub-dimensions. In the last sub-problem, the relationship between the expectation from the practice teacher and the level of having these expectations has been examined and remarkable results have been achieved.
