Analysis of the Causes of Loss Ukrainian Shipping Companies, Which Operating in the Market River Transportation

Article is devoted to identifying the causes of loss of companies, which operating in the river transportation industry of Ukraine. Identified and analyzed the following reasons: high cost of river transportation, low rates for rail transportation, the general economic situation in the country and world trends in river transportation. To confirm the high costs of river transportation, the expences of the market leader - PJSC “Ukrrechflot” - were analyzed in detail. The Ukrainian and world market trends and future development prospects of river transportation industry are shown in this article.
