The problems of activation of innovative processes at the industrial enterprises in Ukraine

The article considers the condition of innovative activity of industrial enterprises of Ukraine. Innovative processes in industrial enterprises by their size are analysed and it is determined that in all sectors of the economy the most innovative are large enterprises. The share of innovative enterprises (large, medium and small) in industry is higher than in other sectors of the economy. The comparison are made between Ukraine and the European Union, a similar trend and the reasons for its driving are revealed. The barriers that are hindered the development of an innovative process in the industry of Ukraine are identified: high risks which inherent to the Ukrainian economy, limited access to sources of financing, deterioration of the political situation, poor institutional support for innovation processes, etc. The leading role of the state in solving existing problems is stressed.
