THE ROLE OF EUROPEAN STRUCTURES IN THE PROCESS OF ESTABLISHING AN INDEPENDENT STATEHOOD IN THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA

An important milestone in the process of establishing an independent state was the recognition of sov- ereign Armenia by a majority of world states. With the majority of these countries Armenia established diplo- matic relations. In Armenia many countries, including those which had essential roles, founded their diplomatic representations. Armenia also was represented in the scope of ambassadors and consuls in many far and near countries. Little by little, having its own foreign political handwriting, Armenia was able to establish quite a bal- anced set of activities in the political stage. An important role for this was played with the integration of Arme- nia in different international structures, which was one of the manifestations of the sovereignty of full entity of newly independent Armenia
