PEMBERDAYAAN PETANI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KETAHANAN PANGAN DI DESA SAMBIROTO KECAMATAN PADAS KABUPATEN NGAWI

In a living human life, food sources is mainly needed. Indonesia is popular for its agrarian country. Until now it can't be avoided that food problem still exists. Indonesia a coutry that most of its people work in the field of agriculture is still not able to develop sustainable food technology forfood fulfillment. The refore, it is needed to do the empowerment of farmers in order to realize food endurance, including te village Sambiroto. The methodology used in tis research is qualitative research by using descriptive approach which is done by observation, interview and documentation. This result of this research shows tha farmer empowerment done in Sambiroto village can be said to have better way in realizing food endurance, which is the production gets better and increased due to the knowledge and skills of farmers in cultivation is also increasing. The supporting factor of the success of increasing food endurance in Sambiroto village is the running of the program with the support form Dinas Pertanian and TMMD as well as assistance in the form of fertilizer and free seed. The obstacle come from the problem of poor quality of human resources, capital and uncertain weather.
