Abstract

The article is devoted to issues of the essence of managerial culture and its influence on the organizations success in a competitive environment. The conceptual apparatus of management is analyzed in relation to such concepts as "managerial culture", "competition", "competitiveness". Theoretical issues concerning the content and structure of the managerial culture, signs of its formation, indicators of the managerial culture development level, theories of competitive relations, as well as positive and negative consequences of the competition phenomenon are investigated. The study analyses the key personal qualities of successful competitive organization leader in researches of scientists in the field of management and in the context of Ukrainians' value orientations. The existence of such an aspect of managerial culture as the ability to be engaged in civilized competitive interaction is substantiated. According to the results of research of scientific works, a proper generalization of the term "management culture" is proposed, which defines the directions for its development and evaluation. The distinction between managerial culture of an individual manager and organization is emphasized. According to the results of the study, the flow-chart for assessing the level of managerial culture of a chief in the conditions of globalization, considering the manager's personal qualities and their compliance with the requirements of the cross-cultural management environment, which is evaluated according to the indicators of cultural dimensions by G. Hofstede, has been developed.
