SOIL PHYSICS DENSITY ESTIMATION AND UNIVARIATE STATISTICAL ANALYSIS USING MICROGRAVITY RESEARCH DESIGN SURVEY IN PENANG, MALAYSIA

Abstract

The novel method is proposed using fullscale multisectional piles. The proposed method makes soil testing to be more reliable and determination of carrying-capacity is more accurate. Soil creep equations is proposed by Buslov [3]. The study is carried out which based on the probabilistic rheological model. The study also stated that stabilizing soil process under load can be shortened or lengthened in period of time which depending on stress level and the properties of soil. Soil monitoring using soil physics study is also a concern matter by many researchers [4-8]. Many other soil studies have been taken into research focus. Soil's dielectric properties study has been conducted by Hoekstra and Delaney [9]. The study on this soil physics is conducted at microwave and UHF frequencies. Soil's water content and permeability in unsaturated columns [10]. The work was carried out using gamma rays. Soil's characterization is used in slope monitoring study in Penang, Malaysia [4]. This approach is carried out using 4–D electrical resistivity tomography method for resistivity changes in different period of survey times. These previous works have motivated us to carry out soil density estimation using gravity method which is one of geophysical method. This geophysical method works using gravitational principle which is based on Newton's Law. This study has main objective which is to estimate the soil physics density using microgravity research design. Some innovative approaches have been made in this study, to increase the reliability and technical merit point of view and at the same time to achieve study objective.
