Study the Mutual Relationship of Human Rights and Free Trade

Abstract

Human rights and trade are categories which today have a very influential effect on human life. Free trade regulations have put material well-being at the top of its high goals and to achieve it and its other goals has made several agreements. Today it has made the complex structure and the vast performance of this organization to be influenced by other aspects of the international system from it. One of these effects is in the field of human rights which seems initially, has the same goals and principles with free trade, and even in some cases, they complement each other. All member states of World Trade Organization human rights regulations accepted and have passed and they must adhere to it. In this research, descriptive-analytic method we found the free trade regulations and human rights are actually in the pursuit of a single goal, although they have different mechanisms. And there seems to be conflicts in some cases such as the right to freedom, the enjoyment of a healthy environment, the right to food and... and the actions of governments in the context of free trade causing to be violated is a part of human rights. As a result, World Trade Organization it should create the necessary amendments and fundamental revisions in their agreements and they bring them at least with the economic aspects of human rights. And the member states of the organization and the self-organization as international law followers committed to its obligations and bound to know their compliance with them.
