Abstract

The article deals with social and biological factors that influence the formation of criminal behavior, despite a large number of studies on this subject in pedagogy and criminology, the individuals continue to commit crimes, they are prone to criminal actions and if you characterize them, they are not psychologically balanced. It is necessary to carry out preventive work, improve the legislation of the Russian Federation; more qualified specialists and psychologists should work in law enforcement agencies to work with persons who have committed crimes. The article is intended for practical and scientific workers, postgraduates and students, higher and secondary legal, sociological and psychological educational institutions. The practical part of the work focuses on the need for a more in - depth study of the offender's personality, his psychologi cal state, social status in society, biological factors affecting the formation of criminal behavior. In our opinion, the most important thing after the release of the convict is adaptation, moral support, employment and the solution of housing problems, only then the convict has the opportunity to embark on a path of correction and adapt in society, unfortunately, the legislation in Russia is not aimed at supporting those released from prison.
