Abstract
Article is devoted to review and analysis of use of the linguistic phenomenon of language game in online communication. The author emphasizes reasons and types of language game, considers language enciphering as the most widespread type of language game, gives examples of language game in online communication, reflects on opposition of language game and texts informatization. This defines urgency of the article.
