COMPARATIVE CHARACTERISTIC OF ATTITUDE TO OWN HEALTH OF EMPLOYEES OF INTELLECTUAL AND PHYSICAL WORK

The process of maintaining healthy lifestyle (HLS) is different in different social groups. Purpose of study. To study the attitude towards health and healthy lifestyle of intellectual and physical workers in Belarus. Material and methods. 136 employees of the intellectual sphere aged from 32 to 58 years and 144 skilled workers of the 5th category aged from 27 to 64 were examined. The research was conducted by a sociological method using specially developed questionnaire. Results. It was found that the attitude of representatives of both groups surveyed to their own health and healthy lifestyle did not have statistically significant differences. Conclusions. The importance of sources of information about health and healthy lifestyle is practically the same in both groups - television, the Internet, interviews with health workers. Access to information in both groups of respondents based on the survey was approximately the same. Thus, the impact of the educational factor on both groups of respondents has become approximately the same.
