ENSURING THE SECURITY OF INFORMATION IN THE BANKING SECTOR AS AN ELEMENT OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL ECONOMY IN UKRAINE

The article comprehensively analyzes the banking information structure and categories "confidential information", "banking secrecy", "commercial secrecy" and "banking panic", taking into account the provisions of banking, civil and information legislation of Ukraine. It was determined that information security of banking institutions is an important element of the development of the digital economy in Ukraine. The main sources of threats to information security of banking institutions are determined. An attempt was made to assess the information security of banking institutions by identifying threats to information security, namely banking panic, and the causes of its occurrence. The measures, which should be used by banking institutions in order to prevent, stop and overcome banking panic, are found out.
