Abstract

Increased public attention to the problems of economic security is due primarily to the emergence of threats and risks in socio-political and economic life, which have a global character. In connection with this urgent scientific task is the formation of theoretical and practical bases of economic security, which play an important role in ensuring the country's sustainable development and defending the interests of its citizens. The article is devoted to the definition of the essence of economic security by characterizing its functional components. The subject of the study is the theoretical and methodological aspects of the interpretation of the essence of functional components of economic security. The methodological basis of the research is the dialectical method of cognition of economic phenomena, the positions of economic theory on economic security; analysis and synthesis to determine the theoretical basis for the formation of the components of economic security. The components of economic security were considered in accordance with the Methodological Recommendations for calculating the level of economic security of Ukraine. The analysis of scientific works which has allowed allocate twenty nine components of economic safety was carried out. Among them: financial security, personnel security, intellectual security, technological security, legal security, information security, environmental security, power security, political and legal security, investment security, innovation security, social security, marketing security, organizational security, foreign economic security, energy security, resource security, food security, security of human development, resource and technical security, production security, transport security, macroeconomic security, demographic security, interface security, market security, military-economic security, technical and technological security. The author's interpretation of certain components of economic security was proposed. It was proved that ensuring economic security requires the adoption of effective and adequate management decisions, and therefore requires the formation of a high-quality information basis for such decisions. The necessity of allocation of one more component of economic safety - safety of decision-making was substantiated.
