Abstract

This article deals with ridge-and-furrow irrigation of cotton using the intrasoil screen based on a polymer-polymer complex consisting of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), urea-formaldehyde resin (UFR) and orthophosphoric acid. As a result of the new technology of ridge-and-furrow irrigation without discharge and in conditions of gray-brown heavy loamy soils, considerable savings in irrigation water are achieved, the coefficient of uniformity of moistening increases, as a result of which there is an increase in the yield of raw cotton and the economic efficiency of the taken measures.
