Abstract

The article analyzes the existing status of irrigated agriculture in the world, the area of irrigated land, the volume of water resources used in agriculture in conditions of acute deficit, which is one of the ten challenges of the 21st century, the measures taken to effectively use water in irrigated agriculture, the volume of water saving technologies. There are positive trends in this direction in our Republic: the introduction of drip irrigation, watering with the use of mobile flexible irrigation pipes and irrigation on furrow-screened furrows, as well as recommendations for the introduction of irrigation of cereals and vegetable crops by sprinkling.
