The article describes the developed structural-functional model of training future primary school teacher to use ICT in higher pedagogical educational institutions. The stages of forming the readiness of future primary school teachers to use ICT are identified, namely: basic, main, productive- corrective. The basic stage of training should provide polyvalent psychological-pedagogical and informational training of the student, which will become the basis for further profound mastery of special knowledge and skills in the formation of meta-objective ICT skills among primary school students. The main stage of preparation is central and covers the second or third year of training. The main stage involves mastering the knowledge of future teachers, mastering the appropriate skills necessary for the use of ICT as an instrument for the formation of meta-subject ICT skills of schoolchildren; providing development and improvement of student's needs and motives in shaping such skills in the younger generation. The next stage of training is productive-corrective, focused on the fact that the students have to engage in pedagogical practice with acquired skills, to test their own teaching materials in the educational process. The described multi-phase process of training future primary school teacher to use ICT has been reflected in the target, content-process and performance-evaluation units of the developed model. The structurally functional model of the preparation of the future teacher of elementary school to the use of ICT contains components that reproduce the multi-stage process of training future primary school teacher to use ICT as a tool for formation of qualitatively new skills of the younger generation – meta-subject ICT skills.
