Abstract

The research demonstrates the relevance of a problem of seniors' social tolerance, the analysis is carried out opening the features of the approaches to the studying of the issue, the definition of a social tolerance as a strong personal position on representatives of different social groups, respect for them and illingness to the partnership. A number of age features of senior pupils is singled out, that positively and negatively influence the formation and development of social tolerance of youth. According to the specificity of youth age the following components (cognitive, emotionally‐estimating, behavioural) and corresponding indicators (comprehension and acceptance of multidimensionality of the world, empathy, willingness for the tolerant social interaction) of social tolerance of youth are marked out.
