TRADITIONAL TURKIC MOTIFS IN TURKISH COUTURIER MODELS JAMILA IPEKCHI

The article is devoted to the work of the famous Turkish fashion designer Jamil Ipekchi. The collec- tion of models of talented couturier, characterized by characteristic Turkic ornamental motifs, is analyzed. It is noted that the design of clothing models created by Jamil Ipekchi is based on the characteristic motifs of the Ot- toman period, which are distinguished by an abundance of parts and accessories, a wealth of floral ornament adorning fabrics. Many models of clothes of the famous couturier are decorated with ornaments taken from the famous Iznik ceramics
