Landfill Leachate Technologies: A Review

Land filling of hazardous industrial solid waste is a major issue of the waste management system in India. The generated Leachate from landfills must be appropriately treated before being discharged into the environment. Technologies used for Leachate treatment can be classified as follows (1) biological methods, (2) chemical and physical methods and (3) emerging technologies.
