The paper explores social networks as an innovative source of library products and services. The role of social Internet networks and their manifestation in various aspects are analyzed. It is proved that social networks act as a modern factor in advertising and distribution of publishing products. Also, the paper emphasizes the fact that social networks today represent an important factor in promoting the library’s information resources, as well as the way of promoting library activities, promoting products and services of libraries in the social network. The emphasis is placed on the fact that the modern library is in a difficult competition as a source of information, and this is the reasonfor library to look for ways of disseminating, popularizing scientific and technological knowledge. Also, the paper states that among the social networks that libraries of Ukraine use more frequently is the social network Facebook, a number of criteria are set out by which the Facebook platform attracts the attention of users. The paper states that national libraries should target all consumers of information, publications should be regular, communication with the library should be permanent, that is, there should be timely responses to reviews and comments. It is important to note that the paper analyzes the change in the number of subscribers to pages in the Facebook network from 2015 to June 2018.
