Abstract

In developing countries, women`s involvement with the governance of a country is marginal primarily because of the traditional place of women in societal hierarchies. In Lesotho population statistics show that women are more than men. This research article sought to expose why few numbers of women especially at parliamentary and cabinet level and recommend some solutions for policy makers. The study sought to establish the Lesotho government's policy of gender inclusivity in political participation to see how the situation is being rectified. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were employed for data gathering and analysis.
