Abstract

The method of preliminary concentration of Cu (II) on a mini-column filled with new polymeric chelatoforming sorbents, based on a copolymer of maleic anhydride with styrene has been developed. Optimum conditions of sorption of ions copper from solutions have been found. It has been investigated the influence of pH and volume of an analyzed solution, structure and matrixes of test, volume of eluent, speed of giving solutions of the sample and eluent. Ions of Cu (II) in eluate are defined by a methodof flame-atomic-absorption spectrometry. Degree of extraction of defined ionsin optimum conditions exceeds 95 %. The developed method is applied for definition of copper in samples of sea water.
