Utilization of ash and slag waste of thermal power plants in the cement industry

The environmental situation with waste heat in the Kyiv region was considered. The chemical and mineralogical composition of ash and slag waste from the combustion of coal was analysed The use of waste as a raw material component of the mixtures was proposed in order to burn the Portland cement clinker. The possibility of replacing part of the aluminosilicate component with the raw ash slag mixture was outlined. The opportunity to reduce the energy consumption for clinker production due to the coal component of the waste was described
