Abstract

The causes of overweight and obesity are diverse. They are based on disorders of energy balance, hypodynamia, as well as disorders of neuroendocrine mechanisms, which play an important role in the formation of human eating behavior. This review analyzes the literature on the relationship between the pituitary, hypothalamus, hormones and neurotransmitters in the formation of eating behavior and obesity.
