The author has studied medical students' subjective assessment of knowledge control various forms throughout university adaptation process. According to research results high personal anxiety students experi- ence the greatest difficulties in university adaptation process. They are particularly sensitive knowledge control forms that require interaction with a teacher and groupmates, that in turn leads to further increment of reactive anxiety level and academic fail. On the contrary, after adaptation process, the students' preferences are shifted towards forms of knowledge control that require active interaction with the social environment. Author suggests to select and combine various knowledge control forms according to adaptation process stages
