Socio-Communicative Component of Foreign Libraries in Modern Conditions

The features of the communicative component of foreign libraries in modern conditions are investigated, taking into account the development of technical capabilities in public life, population’ growing demand for Internet technologies. In this regard, cases of foreign libraries activities regarding the modern electronic processing of their documents in order to respond better and faster to the requests of users and society are presented. This article draws attention to the communicative component, both from the point of view of theory and the practical application of information and communication relations, in particular, such as “library - reader” one. The conclusion emphasizes the creativity of the approach to the modern activity of library networks, not only as a provision of services for access to printed and transcribed sources, but also in providing platforms for concert and theatrical events. It is well-known that information-analytical activities and the expansion of access to electronic information contribute to a more active expansion of the communication space regarding cultural interaction both within the library network and for society as a whole - knowledge sharing, scientific research, human communication and leisure. As a result, attention is drawn to the problems that hinder the intensive use of the latest technologies of domestic libraries. The article draws attention to the role of library institutions, as centers of social communication, designed to influence actively socialization of readers, formation and development of scientific communication. The purpose of the article is to demonstrate the creativity of the approach to provide quality service to users, the importance of preserving the most valuable books and collections, as well to show national heritage to the world community.
