Reconstruction of inactive industrial objects and change of their functional setting

The article deals with the urgency of the reconstruction of inactive industrial buildings and structures, as well as their adaptation to new conditions. Existing industrial facilities that have been successfully adapted to urban environments in Denmark and the Netherlands are described. The basic problems that arise in the process of designing and construction of industrial reconstruction objects, especially when changing their functional purpose. The benefits of redeveloping inactive industrial areas are listed. The basic methods of reconstruction which allow to carry out adaptation of industrial architecture to modern city-planning conditions are allocated. The real example shows how the existing production shop was reconstructed using the integration method.
