Abstract

In this study, the meeting of the great Sufi Ebul Hasan al- Kharaqani and Ibn Sina was discussed. Kharaqani (b.963 / d.1033) the spiritual heir of Bayezid Bistâmi, is also contemporary of Ibn Sina. He is an action man rather than a word. He gained the family's daily needs by working and dedicated his life to purifying his being. Although he values science and scholarship, she prefers to live with what he be-lieves more. On the other hand, he was troubled by all the troubles of the Islamic Ummah. All these points show that Kharaqani is a perfect person. Abu Ali al-Huseyn b. Abdullah b. Sina (b.980 / d.1037) is known as the “eş-şeyhu'r-reis” thanks to his unique position in science and philosophy. In the West, his name is “Avicen-na” and he is regarded as the “prince of philosophers”. Ibn Sina lived in a period when many writings about Sufism were copyrighted and Sufism became a scientific discipline. For this reason, he did not remain silent to the mystical vitality around him. His visit to Kharaqani took place in the works of classical Sufism. On the other hand, the section called “Maqamat al-Arifin” in his work el-İşârât carries the traces of his deep Sufi experiences.
