Abstract

Article discusses the problems of operation of power plants of ships and vessels and provides detailed criteria forthe reliability and maintainability of elements of power plants. The authors focus on the features of repair when a ship or vessel is at sea, provide examples of accidents, statistical and quantitative indicators of combinations of failures of ship and ship equipment. One of the ways to solve the problem of eliminating accidents when a ship is at sea, the authors present as a rapid repair with the use of additive technologies. This proposal analyzes in detail the types of 3D printing technologies using metal powders, their differences, and features of application in non-stationary conditions. The conditions necessary for carrying out operational repairs using these technologies are summarized, and examples of successful use of this method are given. The authors determined the optimal 3D printing technologies from the point of view of practical implementation when finding ships and vessels at sea and performing operational repairs
