Abstract
The effect of deep drawing parameters on the cup fracture height is analyzed by an experimental study using the Taguchi method and ANOVA variance analysis for SPCC sheet material. There are three input parametersused in this study, including blank holder force (FBH), the radius of punch curvature (Rp), and the limit drawing ratio (Mt). The percentage effect of these parameters on the tearing height is determined, respectively. The results show that the limit drawing ratio has the greatest impact, the blank holder force has a lower effect level and the radius of punch curvature has the least effect on the fracture height of cylindrical cups. To predict the fracture height of the other cups based on various input parameters, a mathematical model presented the relationship between input parameters and fracture height is established and shown good agreement when compared with corresponding experimental data
