Abstract

Mysticism has enigmatically lured people from time immemorial and their inception. In the quest for enlightenment and to truly awaken from within, people have been on a journey into the unknown recesses within them to get a glimpse of the illumination. There has been an eternal quest to enquire into the cause of their very existence while generating an awareness of their being with respect to the cosmos. The mystical poets have not only been able to garner some understanding in this regard, but they are also finding ways to share the elixir of this divine experience. While they experience an elevated spiritual conjuncture, these mystical bards try to elucidate and bring about an awareness for the humankind about the cosmic consciousness and the heightened realm of spiritual awakening. They attempt to share these experiences in a plethora of ways however there isn't any finitude in the way they describe their experiences or in the multitude of descriptions. They aim at ultimately being able to share the joy and make every one taste the heavely elixir that they have been able to taste in the amalgam with the higher cosmic consciousness. Mystic allure of Rabindranath Tagore's poetry has always attracted the seekers from world over. His poetry holds an enigmatic charm which emanates from his experience of union with the divine. Tagore elevates to the realm of mysticism while singing in the harmonious rhythm of love.
