Abstract

The article examines the ethnocultural specificity of the color white in the Even language, which oc- cupies one of the central positions in the color symbolism of the Evens. The analysis of the semantics of the ad- jective white reveals that the color symbolism of white has mainly positive connotations in the Even linguistic consciousness. The adjective white is realized in dialects and dialects of the Even language by various lexical units that are identical in their semantic meaning. White color in the Even linguistic picture of the world has a great degree of metaphor. The article is written on the basis of the artistic and folklore discourses of the Evens in the linguistic and cultural aspect.
