Approaches to the Busker in Spain: analysis of the current situation in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia

The purpose of this article is to make a first approach to the figure of the busker in Spain. After a historical introduction and an analysis of the current situation, the results of a survey are presented to evaluate the opinions of the musicians of Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, in Spain. With that, we obtain a broader vision of how public space is being regulated and what its main problems are. Finally, the importance of highlighting street music as a human and cultural resource of big cities is analyzed.
