Innovative practices for improving the development of management competence of the head of educational institution

The article raises the issue of the development of management competence of the head of the educational institution, which is due to the need to move in management to a competency-based approach designed for personal development of the specialist and the managerial component of his professional competence. At the same time, the quality management of the development of the educational institution depends on the formed readiness of its head to implement educational innovations in the institution. It is established that the management competence of the head of educational institution is an integrated indicator of the personal and activity essence of the teacher, which reflects his ability to motivate, organize, distribute and control not only the work of students but also teaching staff; ability to operate with the latest pedagogical, information and communication technologies, to find and critically analyze the necessary information to make informed management decisions. If the purpose of management of educational institution is the development of innovative educational environment of the institution, then the content of management is the implementation of new functions and responsibilities (modeling and forecasting, marketing), practice of new methods (technical processing of information, methods of economic calculations) and forms of management (combining, corporate and collective governing bodies). The experience of the department of education of Rokytne DSA, which actively improves the structure of methodical work with the heads of the educational institutions was investigated. Innovative practices for the development of management competence of the managers are the involvement of the teaching staff of the institution to participate in project competitions; ICT training and self-presentation; modeling of school type and implementation of adaptive management; creative combination of group and cooperative forms of increasing management competence of the heads of GSEI; extended scientific and methodological support of the managers by the methodologists of RDMO. Perspective directions of the development of management competence of the head of the educational institution were offered, including self-education, deepening of the knowledge base of management and marketing, establishment of monitoring of the quality of education of teachers and students, preservation of the right of personal choice for the head and the teacher, stimulation to project activity, expansion of space of possibilities of employees of the institution, consolidation of the staff on the basis of cooperation.
