The main components of social entrepreneurship are identified. Social enterprises are designed to meet the needs of community members that the public sector cannot meet and the private sector ignores. This is a niche for social enterprises. The local communities benefit mostly from the development of social entrepreneurship. The development of social entrepreneurship in Ukraine is a long process, the scale and pace of which cannot be predicted, which is explained by the decentralized nature of these processes. Significant negative impact on the spread of social entrepreneurship in Ukraine is caused by the lack of regulatory framework that would regulate the activities of social enterprises, as well as a small amount of information in the media about the activities of many enthusiastic entrepreneurs. The process of popularization of social entrepreneurship can be accelerated by conducting an active socio-economic policy, considering the formation of yogis as an important independent direction of the policy of socio-economic reforms.
