LINGUOPOLITICAL PERSONOLOGY: METHODOLOGICAL BASIS AND METHODS OF STUDY

The article deals with some methodology issues of linguopolitical personology, which is quite a new field of linguistics studying the phenomenon of professional linguistic personality in the political sphere. The basic terminology and the key methods of language material selection and study are under analysis. The article gives an overview of latest papers devoted to politicians' speech study. The authors characterize research approaches relevant for contemporary linguopolitical personology and conclude that most of them have a complex, hybrid nature, which is to provide a thorough study of the considered subject
