THE SPECIFICITY OF THE SELECTION OF EDUCATIONAL TEXTS IN TEACHING RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE MILITARY ENGINEERING PROFILE (CORE COURSES)

Abstract

This article discusses the problem of selecting the learning content and text materials for classes in Russian as a foreign language at the military College of engineering profile. The structure of the content should be determined on the basis of the analysis of the values of its elements for future educational and professional activities. To achieve the main learning objectives of the curriculum and thematic plans for the Russian should consider the interaction of the engineering disciplines taught in parallel at the main courses. The author noted the main criteria for selecting text material to effectively organize the process of learning the language specialty. When choosing a style text material in the educational process, it is necessary to take into account the level of students language and the degree of professional orientation of texts. Major components of the professionally-oriented education, dedicated scientific and officially-business styles as they serve the scientific literature in the specialty. Teaching Russian language, it is advisable to also submit the General, non-fiction and fiction tests, because a foreign soldier, as a rule, in educational and in extracurricular sphere turns to the sources beyond the literature. The author gives examples of educational texts in two styles (feature – independent reading and research on learners of classroom reading), tailored to the requirements when teaching the language of speciality foreign military personnel. Given the methodological comments to each of the stages of work on the text of scientific style, offers different types of tasks. In conclusion, it is noted that the carefully selected and organized material that meets the requirements and criteria of professionally-oriented teaching Russian as a foreign language, will contribute to the formation of students ‘ communicative and professional competence.
