Abstract

The integrative linguistic & rhetorical (L&R) approach provides a comprehensive study of the basic dichotomy ‘prose – poetry' as two speech forms of the existence of literary belletristic communication's discourse. The article describes the general architectonics of the novel by Andrey Gubin “Milk of the She-wolf” in the aspect of the dispositive organization of explicit poetry fragments (EPF), their typology is substantiated. Selected types are illustrated by examples that are artistically dispersed in the prosaic fabric of the novel. Based on the results of the classification work in the course of the study using the continuous sampling technique, we have identified the following subtypes of explicit poetic inclusions: 1. By the dispositive criterion: 1.1.) the dispositive position “Epigraph”, 1.2.) the dispositive position “Beginning” (the chapter, the part, the whole work), 1.3) the dispositive position “Middle of the text”, 1.4) the dispositive position “Ending”. 2. By the criterion of volume: 2.1) “whole texts” (the presence of 3-4 verses suggests that the song is shown entirely); 2.2) fragments of texts (2-4 lines). 3. By genre affiliation: 3.1) folklore of the Terek Cossacks, primarily songs (simultaneously we also singled out proverbs, sayings, etc.); 3.2) non-folklore verse texts of different genres (lines from classics, church literature, urban folklore, etc.). 4. By the inventory criterion (content-semantic frames): 1) military songs; 2) wedding songs; 3) holiday songs; 4) household, comic, etc. During the analysis in the discourse-text of the novel, 65 EPF were identified. We analyze the identified poetic fragments of the Cossack folklore that are actively marked, i.е. are highlighted graphically on the discourse-text level.
