Abstract

The corresponding article is devoted to the study of the role of the theological concept in the political-legal views of V. Lypynsky, since it is precisely his desire for a broad philosophical substantiation of his politicallegal doctrine. An analysis of studies concerning religion and the church has been conducted. The thinker clearly discloses his views in the work "Religion and the Church in the History of Ukraine." It is here that various religious topics are covered, which are described in the collection of articles. Studying V. Lipinski's views on the participation of the church in the Ukrainian state-making, it should be noted that all the creativity of this distinguished figure is in one way or another connected with the problems of religion and the church. This concept is covered most thoroughly in V. Lipinski's fundamental work, Letters to the Brethren, and religious studies are considered in other works as well. Analyzing the theological conception of the thinker, we came to the conclusion that the management of state authorities is possible when all the prescriptions of religion are respected, and the authority of spiritual authority is recognized and maintained. It is in this case that there is a certain restriction of power, which is forced to use all its instruments of influence only for the benefit of the citizens, and also limits their anarchic moods and compels and acknowledges the entire authority of the ruling power. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between religion and politics, church and state, which is extremely relevant today. It is proposed to realize the theological concept in the present, despite the rapid process of globalization of society. As practice shows, it is religion and the church that has become a unifying factor for all citizens in Ukraine's current political situation.
