Abstract

The article considers the essence of competitive safe development of an agricultural enterprise. The analysis of theoretical approaches to the definition of the studied categories is carried out. Economically safe development implies both a high level of economic security and ensuring sustainable rates of competitive development in the future. The main features are: sustainability, competitiveness and ability to develop. The competitiveness of an agricultural enterprise lies in its ability to use its potential more effectively than its competitors and to adapt to changes in the market environment. The formation of competitive development of an agricultural enterprise is influenced by both external and internal factors. It is proposed to take into account the features of the agricultural enterprise in modern economic conditions when developing a strategy to increase competitiveness in the context of ensuring economically safe development. It will also be appropriate to take into account the level of quality of agricultural products. In the face of increased competition and the emergence of two types of enterprises on the agricultural market: agricultural holdings and small agricultural enterprises with insufficient levels of production resources, cooperation can become a source of economically safe development for small agricultural enterprises. For an agricultural enterprise, it would be most appropriate to obtain competitive advantages based on internal competitive advantages, that is, the dominance of production costs among enterprises in the industry, which will be expressed through lower costs than other enterprises in the industry. The main directions of ensuring competitive economically safe development of agricultural enterprises can be: introduction of innovative technologies in production, increase in labor productivity, effective diversification of production. That is, to achieve competitive advantages, the enterprise should focus on the efficient use of internal resources, which in the future will form the basis of the economically safe development of the enterprise.
