Abstract

The article considers the socio-economic characteristics of rural development, identifies their problems. It was found that the socio-economic development of rural areas is an important component of the economic policy of Ukraine. The features of financial support for rural development are considered. The significance of fundraising activities for the socioeconomic development of rural areas is analyzed. The article determines that fundraising is often not used at full capacity. This is due to the fact that it is a relatively new type of activity that has not yet received wide distribution. The foregoing leaves it's mark and determines the direction of scientific research. It is substantiated that issues related to the formation of the financial and economic potential of rural territories in the context of fundraising activities are innovative. The features of fundraising activities for the territorial community are characterized. The theoretical and methodological aspects of fundraising as an innovative tool for forming the financial and economic potential of rural development in the context of local self-government reform through which rural areas can implement significant socio-economic projects are differentiated. Differentiated factors affecting the development of fundraising activities are studied. Theoretically investigated and defined the relationship between the developments of rural territories and fundraising as an innovative tool for building the development potential of rural territories. The economic nature of fundraising as a tool for forming the development potential of rural territories has been clarified. The stages of fundraising activities in rural areas have been developed. The key issues that may impede the development of fundraising in rural areas are highlighted.
