Abstract

The development of the national labor market primarily depends on the macroeconomic situation in Ukraine and is a reflection of it. The basis for improving the situation on the labor market and the emergence of positive trends in employment and effective productivity is the presence in the country of favorable economic processes aimed at sustainable economic growth. Among the reasons for the low rate of economic and labor relations in Ukraine are: inequality of conditions of various economic entities and low level of investment in the creation of new production facilities, low wages for highly skilled workers, insufficient social security for the unemployed and lack of alternatives for self-realization. This allows us to state the systemic crisis of the existing economic model of development of the country and proves the need to build institutions of modern market economy in Ukraine and especially in the labor market, able to ensure sustainable economic growth of the enterprise and the country as a whole. The presence of a structural disparity between labor supply and demand — by occupational groups, economic activities and regionally — as well as unsatisfactory quality characteristics of vacancies in terms of conditions and wages are factors that do not attract skilled workers to work in such jobs, and therefore limit the employment opportunities of unemployed citizens and meet the needs of employers in workers. Thus, economic growth in production is not least due to the efficient formation and use of labor resources. After all, for the progressive functioning of an individual enterprise and the economy as a whole it is necessary to pay attention to human potential using methods of incentives and motivation to increase employee interest in the enterprise, which may be the subject of further research. I would like to emphasize that the preservation of staff, incentives for employees, ensuring their further development and creating conditions under which they would like to grow further — this is what should be the priority of the head of the company and the country. It is the tandem of efforts of government agencies and management managers able to ensure a sustainable supply of labor in the labor market and the effectiveness of its self-sacrifice.
