Abstract

In the modern world, there is an actual problem of ensuring information security at the level of the user, company, country. It is due to the rapid growth of information and computer technologies, the use of which increases the efficiency of many processes. This factor affects the development of the country's economy, which also requires scientific research. The purpose of this article is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of scientific publications devoted to the problem of information security in the context of its impact on economic development. The research was carried out based on publications indexed over the past 20 years in the Scopus database. Data from the Dimensions platform was used to compare overall indicators. As a result of plotting the dynamics of studies in the Scopus and Dimensions databases, it is noted an increase in the general trend of publication activity of scientists in the field of information security and the area of its interaction with the national economy. The histogram of the geography of studies devoted to this problem showed the highest activity in its solution by scientists from the United States and China, as the leading leaders in the IT-sphere. The results of the university ranking analysis also confirm this conclusion. The journals' analysis, in which the largest number of articles on the studied topic has been published, showed that only about 11% of researches is published in magazines with an impact factor of more than 0.5, which is a relatively low indicator and indicates the local nature of research. The results of the analysis of the ten most-cited publications made it possible to single out only two areas of study: the economics of information security and research on the relationship between the information security system and the economic environment. The map of the scientometric bibliography of publications keywords, built using the VOSviewer tool, made it possible to identify seven clusters-research areas: information security technologies, decision-making, information management, personal security, information security economics, information security at the enterprise and state level, information risks. The obtained results can be used to identify the most promising areas of information security research in terms of its impact on the national economy.
