IDENTIFYING THE APPROPRIATE ENVIRONMENT FOR SUCCESSFUL ERP SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION: A FIELD STUDY IN PUBLIC ENTERPRISES

In the field of software, one of the great innovations in business applications is the ERP system. This integrative technological innovation offers new opportunities to the organization but also causes problems during its implementation which can lead to failure. From this perspective located within the paradigm of the contribution of information systems to organizational performance, the objective of this research is the post-implementation evaluation of the success of the adoption of ERP innovation. The issue therefore falls within the theme of the impact of ICTs on organizational performance. This research tries to determine the key success factors of ERP adoption by analyzing a sample of 4 actors working in ERP implementation projects in the public sector. The research shed light on various key dimensions to the success of an ERP project in the public sector.
