Abstract

Online e-government services have become critical interface between the end users (citizens) and the service provider (government) now a day. In the present days, these online e-Gov. services are considered as public service provision and essential channel to develop citizen's relationship with the state. Nonetheless, there is a shortage of empirical studies in investigating the behavioral intention to adopt e-Gov. services. Therefore, the existing study focuses on the relational bonds that build individual trust towards the intention to use e-Gov. services among the public university academic employees. Based on the Unified Model of electronic Government Adoption (UMEGA) model, two constructs (trust and attitude) and their antecedents are empirically tested in the present study. Simple random sampling is used to collect data with the help of 396 self-administrative questionnaires. The findings of the study are clearly reported with empirical evidences. Lastly, future recommendations for the academics' professionals are provided for the improvement in the existing conceptual models.
