The section «Economics. Economic Sciences» Thematic Navigator VNLU: ensuring the effectiveness of intellectual search

The article discussed thematic search on the example section of the navigator «Economics. Economic Sciences». It is determined that the thematic navigator contributes to the increase of the efficiency of the information search of sources of scientific information. It is found out that the presentation of the classification system is important in the form of an interactive hierarchical thematic knowledge tree, which allows the user to restrict the search to a certain thematic branch. A ne cessary element of modern inter-library communication is also the required introduction to the national library system of thematic search of an international classification system, such as UDC.
