Abstract

Environment is a major determinant of health of individual, family and community. Environmental health consists of preventing or controlling diseases, injury and disability related to interactions between people and their environment. Aim of the present study was to assess the effectiveness of planned teaching programme on knowledge regarding environmental health among women . Quasi experimental one group pretest and posttest design was used. Non. probability convenient sampling technique was adopted . the result findings shows that pre test mean score of environmental health was 11.3 with SD of 3.85 and the post test mean score was 23. 9with SD of 1.19. There was a statistically significant increase in the overall knowledge regarding environmental health after structured teaching programme at p .00001 level. Mrs P.
